1. Programme Characteristics
The Reed MIDEM Cannes Plus Programme (hereinafter the “Programme”) is designed to enable members (hereinafter the “Members”), which are Reed MIDEM customers, to benefit from the advantages outlined below when they participate at the international trade shows (hereinafter the “Shows” :
MIPCOM - the World’s Audiovisual Content Market;
MIPJunior - The world's showcase for children's and youth programmes screenings; MAPIC – the International Market for Retail Real Estate;
MIDEM – the World’s Music Market;
MIPIM – the World’s Property Market;
MIPTV – the World’s Audiovisual and Digital Content Market;
MIPDoc - The international showcase for documentary and factual programme screenings) organised by Reed MIDEM (hereinafter “RM”).
The Terms and Conditions set out the terms and conditions governing the Programme.
RM reserves the right to cancel or to replace the Programme and reserves the right to alter or amend at any time the Programme, the Terms and Conditions and any other document related to the Programme, which the Member acknowledges and accepts. Notification of alterations and amendments to the Programme, the Terms and Conditions and related documents, as well as the date on which such alterations and amendments will enter into force, will be issued through RM appropriate means of communication within reasonable delays. RM will apply reasonable effort to give Members prior notice of termination of the Programme.
2. Programme Membership - Card attribution
The Programme is dedicated to individual Reed MIDEM customers (for exceptions see appendix) aged 18 or over, hereafter called “Members”.
In order to qualify for receiving the Membership, the individual’s show registration need to have been received by Reed MIDEM. Details of any change in address, name or other necessary information including email address must be sent within reasonable delays, in writing, to RM, which may request supporting documents. The Member guarantees the accuracy of all such information and will held solely responsible for any erroneous, incomplete or outdated data.
The Cannes Plus card is on the reverse side of the RM show badge, every client receives this badge by attending any RM show taking place in Cannes, France.
The Card and benefits are valid until 31 December 2012; they are not applicable during Reed MIDEM show periods and depending on hotel availability and conditions.
3. Programme services and benefits
The Programme provides to the Members for the following services and benefits:
- Discounts on the price of Member’ stay in all participating hotels.
- Discounts on the price of breakfasts, between 50% off to a complimentary breakfast, depending on the hotel category.
- Upgrades and late check-outs, according to availability in ‘Prestige and Deluxe’ hotels or service benefits for other hotels categories.
- Other services may be offered depending on the dates of your stay (Wi-Fi, sauna, parking, laundry, etc.).
The above services are valid for card holder and accompanying persons during his stay
All services and benefits proposed under the Programme are subject to change and availability and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the partners providing the promoted services and benefits. Members acknowledge that RM has no control on the partners with which arrangements have been made for the purpose of this Programme.
4. Card usage
To benefit from the advantages hereinabove mentioned, Members must present his/her show badge. Without prejudice to item 3 above, Members shall be held solely responsible for non presenting said documents if access to said advantages is denied.
5. Personal data
Personal data relating to the participation of Members in the Programme will be collected as per the Contract between the customer and Reed MIDEM and in compliance with Article 10 of the Rules related to the Tradeshow, processed and used for purposes of serving the implementation of the Programme. It will be stored, used to these purposes and forwarded, should the need arise, to third parties, with whom Reed MIDEM has contracted for the purposes of implementing the Prize Draw, located within and outside the European Union, including those companies of the Reed Elsevier group
Pursuant to the Loi Informatique et Libertés du 6 janvier 1978 [French Law on Information Technology and Civil Liberties of 6 January 1978], the Member may exercise a right of access, of rectification and of opposition or objection as regards the personal information concerning him/her, by simple request at Reed MIDEM, 9-13 rue du Colonel Pierre Avia, 75015 PARIS, and/or the following email : contact.cnil@reedmidem.com.
6 Liability
RM shall not be held liable in respect of any damage, delay, injury or loss arising out of or in connection with services and benefits provided or not provided by RM, save to the extent that such damage or loss arises out of negligence by RM, or was caused by RM with intent to cause such damage or recklessly and with the knowledge that damage or loss would probably result. Any claim must be lodged directly with the partner. RM shall not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from termination of or the alteration of the Programme. The Member is liable for any claims from third parties arising from membership in the Programme.
7 Miscellaneous
The present Terms and Conditions supersede all previous documents containing such terms and conditions.
The present Terms and Conditions are subject to French Law for its interpretation and implementation. In the event of a dispute between the Member and RM, the parties undertake to seek an amicable settlement. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through amicable settlement shall be submitted to the competent Paris Courts.
